Tips for studio photo shoots with pets
Studio portrait sessions for our furry friends are fun and rewarding with a few important details to keep in mind.
First off; is your dog the right temperament for an indoor photo shoot? I can help determine that during our first phone call. We can do a test run and have them come to the studio and see how they seem before our session date.
Be sure to keep the day up to your session relaxed. Dogs can pick up on stress and then they might be more anxious than normal. Keep in mind that I am accustom to working with all types of dogs and you will be in good hands so relax and have fun.
Make sure your dog has had a bath and looks their best! They will feel better too!
This is a perfect time to buy a pretty new collar. Maybe they already have a nice collar and that is super. Please remove the tags though.
Leashes may be needed and that is fine. I will remove those so not to worry.
I have some treats but if your dog has any allergies please bring your own treats.
It is a great idea to bring along an extra person to help place your dog(s)
Please allow plenty of time for a full session. It could take up to 90 minutes.
I love to include humans in the portraits. We can talk about that and work on wardrobe for you. I do have a special what to wear guide that includes tips with pets!
Make sure flea medication is up to date.
